What Happens After You Sign

  01 — Verifying Your Project

Our team will monitor the progress of your project and contact you once your product arrives to schedule your installation. We appreciate your patience while we coordinate these steps and work to keep your project moving forward.

Once your installation date is scheduled, we’ll provide you with the details you need to prepare for your installation.

Final Measurement

After your contract is signed, our office will contact you to arrange final measurement.

This is an important quality-control step. We verify the details and dimensions of your project before your products are ordered and your installation moves forward.

Once everything is confirmed, we’ll place your order and begin the permitting process when required.

Installation Scheduling

Your installation date is determined by several factors, including: product availability, manufacturing lead times, permitting, inspection requirements, crew scheduling, weather conditions

For this reason, we may not be able to provide an exact installation date immediately after your contract is signed.

   02 — Installation Day

When installation day arrives, your Forcefield Hurricane® installation team will walk you through what to expect before work begins.

Our crews will take reasonable steps to protect the areas where they are working and minimize dust and debris. Certain installations—particularly those involving block, stucco, or masonry—can naturally create more dust and debris than others. If there is anything in or around your home that you would like our team to take extra care around, please let us know before installation begins.

Throughout the installation, our team will focus on:

  • Protecting your home and work areas
  • Installing your products according to the project specifications
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Checking product operation and functionality
  • Addressing questions or concerns along the way

Your Part

To help your installation go as smoothly as possible, please:

  • Remove small items and personal belongings from the immediate installation area.
  • For window installations, please remove any curtains, blinds, or window treatments that are in front of the windows, unless removal was included as a service on your contract.
  • Let our installation team know about any items or areas that require special attention before work begins.
Your Final Walk Through

Before the installation team leaves, we’ll walk through the completed work with you. We’ll review the installation, demonstrate the operation of your new products, and make sure you understand any important information regarding their use and care.

After the installation is complete, our Field Manager will also contact you to answer any questions you may have and make sure you have an additional point of contact if anything comes up after the crew has left.

   03 — Permit & Inspection

When a municipal inspection is required, our office will coordinate the inspection process and keep you informed of the next steps. Because inspection requirements and scheduling are determined by the local municipality, we cannot request specific times and timing can vary.

Your Part

If the municipality requires someone to be present at the property, you’ll need to make arrangements for yourself or an authorized representative to be available until the inspection is completed.

We’ll do our part to help make the process as easy as possible and answer any questions you may have along the way.

   04 — Completing the Details

Once the required inspection has been completed, our team will take care of any finishing details associated with your project. This may include returning to complete final adjustments, finishing touches, or other items that need to be addressed following installation or inspection.

We want your project to be finished properly—not simply installed.

05 — Your Project is Complete

While your installation may be complete, our relationship with you doesn't end there.

If you have a question about your windows, doors, shutters, garage doors, or other Forcefield Hurricane®products down the road, our team is here to help.

QUESTIONS? WE'RE HERE FOR YOU.

We know you may have questions throughout the process. That's what we're here for.
